Learning to use the zine template

Like all creative practice and creations, you find there is a process of deciding what to do and what not to do. As I used the zine template more, ideas began to form and I became more confident using the resource. My first attempt at creating a zine shows a consideration for the images used. However, I felt they did not communicate the message of rise and decline. therefore, this attempt was practice.

I found the color of the first attempt was lacking in visual aesthetics and was not eye catching. So, I put a frame around all the images I put into the zine to break the contrast up a bit and give the document some boarders. As well as this, I changed the color inside the document so it wasn't white. Instead, I used a shading application on Word to create the grey and blue shadow. I found the paper I used was a bit naff and have decided to use better quality paper in future to give the zine a shine which looks like quality.

A slight variation of color and borders added to all the images contained in the zine. I created a white frame on the contained photographs, back and front cover to add some distinction to the rest of the document.

I chose 2 text types to go into the zine. The cover was bold to emphasize the tittle. As the process evolved and I understood how to use the program better. I created a corporate logo on Abobe Express and put a boarder around it. The logo section on Adobe Express was easy enough to use and I just kept the whole thing simple in terms of context.

I also added the different stages of empire on the pages. This then saved place for my details to be put on the back page such as email and phone number.
